Klenteng Sentiong, Jalan Lautze 38, Jakarta, Indonesia

Sentiong temple (temple Grave Stone) is located at Jl. Lautze no. 38. The temple was originally a Dutch country house. In 1736 Frederik Julius Coyett, a member of the Council of the Indies, set up a summer home in the garden area outside the city. This house was built on the west side of the 'highway to the south' which is now called Jl. Gunung Sahari. In 1733 FJ Coyett headed an official delegation to the Palace of His Majesty in Kartasura and visited the ruins of the temples of Prambanan and brought two statues of Buddha from Kalasan. Coyett also brought statues from Sri Lanka and placed several sculptures on the walls of his new home, and elsewhere in the extensive garden.

After his death in 1735, the house was acquired by the Governor-General Jacob Mossel (1761) and Simon Josephe, a speculator. He sold it at high prices to the Chinese Captain Lim Tjipko.

In 1760 the Chinese captain lieutenants convened together to obtain a new cemetery. They asked all citizens to contribute to get the house in Golong Sari where there is a Buddhist temple with many statues of stone, which formerly made by the Chinese.

In 1888 this house belonged to the official Gong guan or 'Council of the Chinese people'.
