After The Blizzard
Nevis Range
I took a couple of children up in the Gondola (cable car) to do a bit of sledging. Don't worry, there is a designated area for this. I wasn't just going to give them a shove and say "see you at the bottom kids". When they said they had had enough of dragging the sledge up hill (for me), I suggested we went for a walk and I'd show them some fantastic views. Less than half a mile from the Gondola station we found ourselves in a blizzard and they got a bit frightened. It only lasted about ten minutes and I tried to reassure them that if we got lost a big St Bernard dog would come looking for us. It was then I realized they were way off the age for legal drinking. All ended well though. The sun came out again and we tucked into some hot grub at the restaurant before heading down the range with stories to tell their teachers but NOT their Mum.
