Mary Poppins film set
Not great shots but I wanted to record on my photostream these photos of the filming of Mary Poppins around Buckingham Palace. I got talking to a few people who were on holiday and had come like a lot of tourists to see the palace - bad timing for them. One family saw a film set by Westminster earlier in the the day.
Filming has been going on all around London for the past month. I saw some setting up during the week as I work nearby so decided to take a look. Should have taken my zoom lens as we weren't able to get that close. Some of the security were being very secretive not wanting to say it was for Mary Poppins but I had already been told :) (and one guy gave it away by humming to the tunes).
