Pentax Spotmatic F

The last and best of the Spotmatics. It was introduced in 1973, before Pentax switched to K mount cameras. And a SMC Takumar 50mm f1.4, the last version of Takumars, with its rubber focus grip.

As others have written, the F was/is an excellent camera both for relative notices and more advanced photographers. (I learned my SLR photography first on a Spotmatic SPII). Perhaps the most noticeable physical difference between the SPII and F is the F's lock to the shutter button. Inside, it offered full open aperture metering for the first time, so it started metering as soon as you took the lens cap off.
