Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary

Lancaster County, Nebraska

Another in my series of rural Nebraska churches photographed at night with the Milky Way. Unlike the other rural churches, these buildings are pretty new dating to the early 2000's. I participated in their construction

The building is an HDR bracketed exposure composite of 5 photos put together in Lightroom and the sky is a composite of 10 photos taken at 20 seconds, ISO 1600, for noise reduction. This building is too close to Lincoln to be be able to see the Milky Way due to light pollution from the city. I had been going south to get away from Lincoln for Milky Way shots. This time I tried going west. The Milky Way photos were taken near Dorchester, Nebraska. The picture of the building was taken looking north. The pictures of the Milky Way were taken looking south.

The sky photos were composited in Photoshop and the overall picture was composited in Photoshop.
