Copper Armour

This interesting tree is at the start of the famous Waterfall Walk at Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. Look closely at the "bark". Visitors originally pushed coins into the cracks in the bark but over the years they have hammered coins in to every available space. It mus be the most valuable and most well protected piece of fallen timber in Britain.... unless you know different?
