Celebration of Light
For the past 27 years the city of Vancouver has held a fireworks competition in the summer. Three countries are invited to participate, and it's held on three different nights; Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday. We got to see two of the nights while there. The pyrotechnics are launched from a barge anchored in English Bay, and it draws thousands of spectators along the shore and in countless sailboats, yachts, rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up boards. I have never seen fireworks like these!
