toad - i think - if anyone knows exactly the type i would appreciate knowing - mating at Agden Reservoir, south yorkshire. These guys were getting randy all over the place. It appears that the males jockey for position on a females back - literally! - then she sets off to the water with him attached so that when she lays the eggs, he's sure they're fertilised by him.
