Canal street manchester

Was just wandering around manchester looking for some options for a potential shoot and ended up with some things like this - playing with the light settings, i could get it down to 1/2 a second which flattened the canal surface to produce a pretty clean reflection - using the in-camera dramatic tone setting seemed the right way to bring out the starkness of the architecture in this ignored part of town. Wrapped the small gorillapod i carry in my pocket to a railing to hold it steady. (yes, it's upside down - a dreadful cliche but i couldn't resist it as it always asks questions of the brain,)
