Horseshoe Falls
Living in western New York Mother Nature doesn’t give us great weekend weather all year round. So you need to take advantage of them when she does. This weekend was no exception. So I took a short drive to Niagara Falls State Park and over to Goat Island.
History
Goat Island is a small uninhabited island in the Niagara River, located in the middle of Niagara Falls between the Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. The island is at the southwest corner of the City of Niagara Falls, NY, in the United States.
Goat Island is a popular destination for tourists visiting the falls on the U.S. side, offering some of the most spectacular views available there, in particular at Terrapin Point. It is connected to the U.S. mainland by two bridges carrying foot, car, and trackless train traffic. The island is largely wooded and is interlaced with foot trails. An elevator provides access down to the foot of the falls and to the Cave of the Winds tour. [Wiki]
