Hala Tree.

A Hawaiian Hala tree, otherwise known as a Pandanus tree. These trees provided materials for housing; clothing and textiles, fine mats, food, medication, decorations, fishing, outrigger canoe sails, and religious uses throughout the Pacific Ocean region. This tree is sometimes heard called the Lauhala tree. Lauhala, in Hawaiian, means The leaf of the Hala tree (Lau=leaf).
