England is an island... a good way to reach the Continent is the Ferry!
Especially if you want to take your car.
The shortest crossing of course is the South, the Channel, Dover to Calais= 1 hour.
However for us, it takes us 6/7 hors drive to get to the port of Dover!
So, it is better the 1 hour drive to Hull, and travel 12 hours overnight to Rotterdam.
There is sadly NO way directly to Belgium, can you believe it?
