Few roses are as perfumed as 'Just Joey' a classic variety, with a fabulous scent and stunning depth of colour.
The salmon, coppery-orange flowers have pronounced red veining, with the whole bloom fading to a satisfying copper-buff with age.
For this reason, it was voted Rose of the World in 1994.
It is also very disease-proof and undemanding. The blooms make good cut flowers, but they are also stunning when plants are massed together prominently in a bed.
As a hybrid tea rose, it is best pruned from late winter to early spring. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
