Cosmos is a genus in the sunflower family.
They are annual flowers with colourful daisy-like flowers that sit atop long slender stems.
The flowers are produced in a capitulum with a ring of broad ray florets and a centre of disc florets; they come in many different colours, but this hot pink is my favourite.
Blooming throughout the summer months, they attract birds, bees and butterflies to your garden.
