Flanders.
It is late Winter, the trees still displaying their skeletal structure.
Along one street, they are already in their lingerie.
Most stand waiting for the Spring/Summer/Autumn dress, a rustling swaying in the wind and casting cool shadows on the narrow little roads.
The lovely streets of my beloved Flanders.
I'll tell you the reason why they are so plentiful in Flanders and flat countries. When there are torrential rains, there is a lot of water on the land. Now these and ALL willows need a lot of water. so, there are rivulets and alongside these trees, often to mark boundaries.
