FLORAL INSECTS… ORCHID
#AbFav_Photostory
After the long beauty, this: they dry, fall and take on the appearance of insects, some are butterflies others moths. So attractive.
Do you see the beauty and analogy too? LOL
More fun and lighting from Studio Indigo.
Orchids are truly flowers of superlatives.
No plant family has as many different flowers as the orchid family.
Orchids are among the most highly prized of ornamental plants.
In Mexico the flowers are used symbolically by the natives; each one conveys a sentiment associated with different ceremonies or religious figures.
From the time that orchids were first imported from the Bahamas to Britain (in the early 18th century) these flowers have been cultivated for their commercial value and have been successfully hybridised and variegated.
Hawaii has become a major center for commercial orchid culture.
A species of the Vanilla genus of tropical America is important economically as the source of natural vanilla flavouring.
Have a sweet day and thank you for viewing, Magda (*_*)
