SURVIVOR...CROCUS

 

I saw this in the grass, probably trampled by dogs or children.

Picked it up carefully and brought it home... to photograph...

I had to hurry because they are iconic out-door flowers! Love the cold and NOT warmth!

It opened up nicely one last time in all its purple and orange glory.
