MELODY… Tulips

Swaying to the music.

Parrot tulips, which first appeared in France, found their way to the Netherlands in the Eighteenth century, where they were highly prized and extremely expensive.

They are cup-shaped, fringed, twisted and ruffled tulips decorated with vivid, flame-like splashes, stripes or feathery markings.

They came in many colours, here white and pink, tinged with green, a ’softer’ variety.

Have a glorious day and thanx, M, (*_*)
