SAKURA RESCUED…
#ABFAV_FAVOURITE_SPRING_THEME
In Japan, the sakura fills this role and can be found throughout both the modern and ancient expressions of the country’s culture.
What is the Sakura Flower?
The sakura is part of the stone-fruit family that includes apples, plums, and almonds.
Most sakura trees only produce giant pink candy puffs of flowers and no fruits.
It’s believed that the blossoming cherry originated in the Himalayan mountains, but the tree has been in Japan for thousands of years now.
Amongst all the opulence, on the grass carpet, you could see that unfortunately people do not experience beauty in the same way, there were blossoms thrown all over the place, I saw two youngsters driving their bikes with their arms up, hitting every branch they could reach, leaving a trail of pink, they had fun... I don't judge them, remember my own youth, we've all done silly stuff that now, when you look or think back... you shake your head in disbelief... why? Because you are that age???
In Japan, the sakura fills a role that can be found throughout both the modern and ancient expressions of the country’s culture.
Whereas in China the cherry blossom symbolises feminine beauty, the feminine principle, or love in the language of herbs, in Japan the cherry blossoms are believed to exemplify the transient nature of life, because of their short blooming times.
Have a sweet day and thanx, M, (*_*)
