THEY ARE COMING!

DAY 7

More and more activity now.

The Burg is now closed off, with lots of gunned security and military people. Sadly a flavour of our world today.

But hey, on a happier note, little by little we are beginning to see what is awaiting, so, recap: I am from Brugge, live in England, here I am back in Brugge for a week and hey, the English followed me here and are to play for me? LOL.

Two soldiers walk on, nicely synchronised even in walk!

The Grenadier Guards trace their lineage back to 1656, when Lord Wentworth's Regiment was raised in Bruges, in the Spanish Netherlands (present-day Flanders), from gentlemen of the Honourable Artillery Company by the then heir to the throne, Prince Charles (later King Charles II) where it formed a part of exiled King's bodyguard.

It is their 360th anniversary and they have come to celebrate their origin!

Of all the coincidences.WOW

I wish you a day full of beauty and thank you for your visit, Magda, (*_*)
