027 DEEP REFLECTION…

DAY 3

The chapel has little decorative elements but it is the only part of the building that still has its original shape.

It is one of the best preserved examples of Romanesque architecture in Bruges. The largest room has three naves, covered by a cross rib vault supported by sturdy pillars.

There is a definite mood in there, some quiet music even accentuates that.

You do not have to be religious to experience this. Places like this invite you to be still, the outer noise all gone, to sit, pause and reflect for a moment… it invites you to do that eh?

This was Michel, my son.

I wish you a day full of beauty and thank you for your visit, Magda, (*_*)
