This is a photo to stop and stare.

Soothing, and Zen…

After dropping off our American friend in Brugge, we head back to Ostend, along the small winding roads.

We stop between Meetkerke and Houtave, where small canals often seam off the fields, the land is flat, the water important.

Waving reeds all along and of course teeming with waterfowl, you stand there, the wind always singing a silent song in your ears, when suddenly a flapping and spattering on the water of some bird breaks the silence.

Aah, one last flight, one more image, aah, my Flanders…
