A FLANDERS' SUNRISE IN B&W

Flanders, 5 in the morning, the cool, fresh air fragrant with the promise of a beautiful day.

I walk barefoot in the dewy grass, as the night-clouds drift away, chased by the new dawn, there's just enough light to handhold my first image (See previous) of the day...

I look around, deeply breathe in the cool air, birds are calling, I take my second image, this one.

Typical in Flanders are the willows to mark the boundaries, often water ditches. They are to keep the 'Lowlands' dry...

Pruned in a unique way, they form a head that gets wild every year, the trunk grows gnarled and stumpy, we call them 'knot-willows'...

Have a great day and thanx for your comments and visits, M, (*_*)
