Seamen's Watch

This monument was installed in the early fifties, in honour of the fishermen, seamen and also those who lost their lives at sea during the war. It is tall and stands in a prominent place, overlooking the sea and the entrance of the harbour of Ostend in Belgium.

This is the top part. I was on the ferry, coming in, evening sun almost in the lens. I wanted some 'different angle' shots of the familiar places. Then, I got this in focus. It holds a special place in my collection. It has in no way been manipulated. THANX, M,(*_*)
