Flanders

The Willows are water absorbing trees and are therefore very useful to this land, the farmers regularly 'trim' them, so that they do not grow high, but sturdy, more wind resistant and even more absorbent, they get very gnarled heads over time. we call them 'knot-willows', they often serve as separation of farmer's land too.
