If you don't already know from Facebook, Navarre lost his battle with cancer three weeks ago. I still miss him like it was yesterday. He was a once in a lifetime dog. He opened so many doors for me and we conquered them together. My first Flatcoat and first champion. He was so full of life and enjoyed every single day of his life. Right up until the end. His love of water drove him in every aspect of his life. Whether that be a lake, pool, sprinkler, puddle or a winter blizzard. He was my first dock diver and that was the venue he adored. I was privileged enough to let him dock dive just weeks before we lost him. I guess you could say he had his own bucket list and I tried to fulfill it to my best ability. He went swimming in a friend's pool, went to Petsmart and picked out whatever his heart desired, had ice cream, had cheese steak, went to Granny's house for bacon and had his kiddie pool filled constantly so that he could splash whenever he wanted. We even circled the pool with an x-pen and covered it with a tarp so he had his own clubhouse. He loved it. I just wish he could have stayed longer because 11 is not near long enough.
