Gone, Gone, the Damage Done

This is what my little snails get up to under the cover of darkness.

 

Although I carefully employ my gastropod relocation technique on most of my hosta plants, this particular one is my 'sacrificial' hosta that I allow to be attacked just so the snails keep coming back to my garden. This plant is now pretty much reduced to 'lacework'.

 

No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph, but they were very well fed.
