Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack and the Beanstalk is an English fairy tale, written in 1890 by Joseph Jacobs. In the story, young Jack trades the family cow for some magic beans - one of the beans grows into a giant beanstalk that reaches up into the clouds. Jack climbs and encounters a giant who has been stealing from the family. Jack retrieves the possessions along with a bag of gold. The giant chases him down the beanstalk but Jack cuts down the beanstalk and the giant falls to his death.
