110 Film Collection
Over the past couple of years, I've been pretty lucky with finding film and film cameras in thrift stores. Last week I bought a second Precious Moments Micro 110 Camera in the original box. I'd actually spotted it a few weeks before, priced at $3.99...more than I was willing to pay. The first had cost only $0.99. Two weeks ago, I bought a different camera (a Minolta 35mm with a roll of film inside and a working battery) at the same store for $3.99 and brought the Precious Moments item up to the cashier with me and pointed out the absurd price on it and said I wasn't going to buy it, but would buy the Minolta. The next week the Precious Moments camera was down to a reasonable $0.99 and I bought it.
Having two of them led me to investigate how much 110 film I'd acquired over the same time. As you can see, I've found a fair bit...16 rolls in all. All of it well expired and improperly stored.
There's a project in here somewhere, but I haven't quite figured out what that is. I do know it should be a cooperative effort with another photographer. Let me know if you have any bright ideas.
