Plantimal 4: Graphite on Bristol Board Paper: This drawing explores astrobiology/exobiology from a surrealistic viewpoint. The focus of the work, a large spheroid creature, is a mainly biological entity, but has cube-like trees growing on its back. These cubes may have had a distant technological origin, or might represent some kind of mimetic developmental process. The background is taken from a view just south of Kitt Peak in Arizona. Displayed at the 2017 LPL Art of Science show.
A set of 12 prints "Phytoborgs, Plantimals and Osteoborgs: Scenes of Post-Technological Biomes" including this work is on display a the Biosphere 2 cafe in the Biosphere 2 complex in Arizona.
