Winter Blues
Cawsand is a small fishing village, which, along with its neighbour Kingsand, was once synonymous with smuggling. Both villages are now part of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, on the Rame Peninsula, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set in a sheltered location, backed by woodland, overlooking Plymouth Sound, the beach, faces east, and is predominantly sand and shingle with some rock pools to explore at low tide.
