I started die cutting two doilies from cereal box and adhere them together. Then dry embossed the white piece of cardstock, adhering a white doily to the back and letting a portion extend to the card base. Everything else is pretty obvious. I painted the butterfly with watercolours, but wasn’t happy with the tone, so I went over it with Distress inks and spatters of water.

Supplies:

Dies: MFT - Flutter of Butterflies Solid; SC - Single Banner; Waffle Flower - Doily Circle.

Coloring: Royal Talens Ecoline - cyan, grass green, lemon yellow, deep grey; Distress inks - forest moss.

Others: Neenah Solar white cardstock and off-white cardstock; Vellum; Teresa Collins "Nine & Co." 6”x6” paper pad; American Crafts foam stickers; MME “On Trend” flair buttons; SC stars and sequin; Gem; ZIG - clear wink of stella.
