Plain Tiger (DSC_5324)

Plain Tiger (Danaus chrysippus) (පහන් ගෝමර) Very common butterfly found all over Sri Lanka. Three different forms are found in the Island. Most common form is in the picture. They prefer scrub areas and gardens. Belongs to Nymphalidae family.
