Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Activities For Elementary Students
Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski conducted a hands-on inquiry-based science lesson to introduce elementary-age students to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts. Students were actively engaged in hands-on-minds-on explorations to investigate science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts. Students used and analyzed household tools, made spin art by using a battery and small motor, built geometric shapes using garbonzo beans and toothpicks the shapes were then submerged into a soap solution to demonstrate the minimum surface area phenomena, students also constructed structures out of blocks and other building materials.
