A typical sunset caught on the way home driving back into the Bush,with added elements.There was a veld fire in the distance also-June is winter in South Africa+Mpumalanga Province is then having a very dry season.In previous years occasionally myself and the husband have had to fight raging bushfires with a hosepipe.We keep our lawns irrigated well in the winter months-so luckily we don't have to worry about the whole yard going up in flames-but it can still be intimidating-and i always think of animals like tortoises,who cannot get away so fast-so i always try to fight any bushfire till it's dead,even when not threatening my own yard.
