The Fish Pier

A view from Sandside of the Fish Pier at Scarborough harbour. I don't think it's officially called the Fish Pier but that's what we knew it as from being kids as this was the pier that all the fishing boats used to unload their catches.

The building with the Kittiwakes on the roof is where the catch is auctioned off before being despatched around the region.

The smaller inshore boats in the foreground make their living fishing for lobster and crab. The creels and pots can be seen stacked up against the wall of the buildings.

Thanks for taking the time to view this and other images in my photo stream.
