Power for the train is a pair of ex-Seaboard GP16s rebuilt at the Uceta shops in Tampa. Lead engine #1764 is painted in the livery of parent company, Aberdeen and Rockfish, which has owned the Pee Dee River since it was originally sold by CSX in the late 1980s. The trailing engine, #1842, wears the original PDRR scheme.
