Close Quarter Combat
NYAR RS20 navigates the tight confines of industrial Queens as it pulls Waste Management loads off the Bushwick Branch with #101, the last active ex-LIRR SW1001 on the NYAR roster, leading a pair of GMTX GP38-2s and the conductor hauling ass ahead of the train to protect the three crossings immediately west of Flushing Avenue. Of the eight EMD SW1001s (E-10s) built for the Long Island in 1977, four of them remain active on both LIRR and NYAR. In the background is the Lower Manhattan skyline with the 1WTC seen just to the left of the tree on the top right.
