Mile Marker
Signs of spring are finally showing in Chicago city limits as CN L512 (KSW3) approaches the state line behind an EJ&E SD38-2 appropriately passing one of the few EJ&E mile markers left in existence. The marker indicates three miles to South Chicago where the EJ&E had a connection with the B&O at 86th Street just west of the US Steel South Works. It is one of at least two mile markers on the Lakefront Branch.
