The Belt Line
A pair of Tacoma Rail MP15ACs drop off an oil train at U.S. Oil and Refining in the Port of Tacoma. Tacoma Rail's operations around the Port of Tacoma trace back to the Tacoma Municipal Belt Line which started operations in 1914 as a streetcar operation and began freight operations with the opening of the Port of Tacoma in 1918. Today, Tacoma Rail is contracted to provide rail service to the port and retains TMBL reporting marks.
