The Wall, the money pit, and the 'mini' van.
It's me repairing the rendering on the wall of our first home in Common Lane, Sheringham, North Norfolk.
Maybe the house wasn't a 'money pit', more like an 'energy pit'. Bought in 1966 at auction which was not the norm back then.
No bidders! I guess the amount of work needed put them off, so we bought at reserve price. An unbelievable £2300!
I did get it finished.
Also, this is the only photo I have of our long gone 'mini' van.
Lost money on the van, made money on the house! Moved out in 1978, into a bungalow, Just got fed up with ladders!
