Grey-backed Hawk

(Pseudastur occidentalis)

 

This endangered hawk was definitely one of my targets. On a walk with one of the park rangers we spotted a pair on our way back. I was able to snap a couple quick shots from a distance before they took off and circled above our heads for a couple minutes. They were more impressive than I expected.
