In my opinion, Coulthard makes two important points that are relavent to my Big Idea:
1) Indigenous resurgence does not depend on Settler recognition (although non-recognition is damaging and oppressive).
2) In order for there to be substantive changes for Indigenous peoples and in Indigenous-non-Indigenous relations, colonial power needs to be challenged in both the subjective and obective realms:
Objective: Indigenous control of their own land and resources.
Subjective: decolonize psychies so that Colonial socieity is no longer seen as superior and Indigenous societies inferior.
