Fowler 5 ton crane c1950
The big problem with these was that there were no brakes on the front wheels, lift something heavy and the crane can roll away, hopefully the operator is quick thinking and lowers the boom. With a steering wheel (some had a lever) you turned the wheel the opposite way to the direction you wanted to steer.
