Electra

Finally I made a good picture of a MOC, that I built back in 2014 (April-August. I guess, that I am a slow builder although I don't know how long other people would take to build the same MOC).

Electra is also my first MOC out of real bricks since 2011 (back then I built a werewolf MOC, that didn't look that good from today's perspective).

Other than that I wish, that I had more black parts to replace the grey and dark grey bricks to reduce the "I take the next best brick and totally ignore the colour to build my MOC"-look, although I assume, that I did a pretty good job in that regard so far (I chose black as the main colour to seamlessly integrate stuff like tires and Technic bricks).

I also don't own Bionicle or Hero Factory parts (okay, maybe some of the bricks used in the joints count as Hero Factory parts), which explains why I mainly used tiles and sloped or curved bricks.

In regards to the bricks used to make the ball joints: I only had six different types of bricks to make the small ones and three to make the big ones.

P.S.: Electra isn't that stable though. Maybe I should use glue ("I mentioned glue! Now I must be stoned!" ;) ) and hope, that LEGO or a custom brick maker develops better ball joints.

Update [2021-08-20]: On one side I still think that this MOC is a pretty good attempt at trying to make a somewhat humanoid figure when you consider that I didn't use Bionicle parts like so many other people, but on the other side I think that it is quite objectifying. That is also the reason, why I didn't feature this MOC more widely than I could have. Today I would draw a character instead of building a LEGO figure, which gives more freedom when it comes to design. Here is an example: www.artstation.com/artwork/w6XoJw
