Flourishing Pollinator Garden, but Low Insect Counts

Each year since I began a garden using native plants to attract pollinating insects, they have become more and more scare. This space used to be a buzzing habitat; I even noticed that the Japanese Beetles, which I despise, were far and few to be seen this year.
