Repeat After Me.....There Is No Such Thing As Squirrel Proof
I never know what I'm going to see when I'm peering through my home office window each day! This was an extremely funny situation, more for me than the young, Eastern Gray Squirrel that managed to find it's way into the feeder, but found itself stuck. The trick it had used to get inside, was to pull the lid up, even though it is supposed to be held in place with two thin, round magnets. A Chipmunk had "paved the way" by getting inside and chewed a sizeable portion off the top of the plastic tube which holds the "goods." Once the squirrel pulled the top off, the hole that the chipmunk chewed, allowed the squirrel just enough wiggle room to squeeze inside. It took only a few minutes for it to figure out how to get out again and after that "it was a piece of cake" for it to go in and out!ππ π
