I hear the train a comin’.

 

Today’s train service between Thirlmere and Buxton proved to be popular as steam locomotive 3001 was coupled up with two historic passenger carriages for the journey to Buxton.

 

I caught up with 3001 as it was preparing to depart Thirlmere and I was able to go ahead and capture the journey firstly at Couridjah and finally at Buxton.
