Phoenix Foundry.

It’s history can be traced back to 1872 when it was known as the Uralla Foundry or the New England Brass and Iron-Lace Foundry.

In latter years it became known as Phoenix Foundry however it maintained is primary purpose which was the production of iron lace for commercial and residential buildings.

In 1983 the Phoenix Foundry underwent a change of its original business model and branched out into the manufacture of cast bronze memorial and commemorative products which are now exported to the global marketplace.

What makes the Foundry unique is that fact that it remains Australia’s oldest continual operating Foundry which is a huge feat.

In more recent years the Foundry moved to a more modern building but the Foundry still produces the same high standard products.

This is the original Foundry building which is located in East Street, Uralla and is today an historical building that is in desperate need of financial assistance to assist in restoration.

Uralla, New South Wales, Australia.
