Rusty roof.

Rusty roof.

It was built in a time long ago in a time now past.

Now it is partially hidden by a tree, a tree that was freshly planted there in a time now past.

As the tree grew the house aged, its roof became rusty with weather and age, and the tree grew.

Its timbers became dry and weathered for they never did get that lick of paint, and the tree grew.

Seasons came and seasons went. good times came and good times went, and the tree grew.

Cold winds blew while the tree still grew.

For the house became old and it was time to renew.

Another house was built anew.

And after all these years the tree still grew.
